Born in East London in 1986 Anne Marie Taberdo grew up in Darlington in the North East of England with her parents and older brother John Paul. Her parents travelled across the North as market traders selling flowers, native basket ware and ornaments from the Philippines where they originated. At the age of thirteen Taberdo and her family migrated to the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia in 2000 for a cultural change due to hardships in England. It was in Sydney at the age of 21 that Anne Marie Taberdo lived and completed her first BA Fine Art - Degree in Sculpture at the National Art School. It is also here where she was introduced to an interest in outdoor sculpture and site-specific installation. Taberdo after taking a short break and moving to the Australian country to live and work on a fruit picking farm over the summer months decided to continue her eduation back in London. She is now a recent Post-Graduate from the City & Guilds of London Art School in Fine Art - Sculpture and residing in London she is currently on her first endeavors as a practicing sculptor.

Continuing to make new installative works in various materials in including, wood, steel, polystyrene and plastics, Anne Marie Taberdo works within the realms of experience, culture, architecture, journey and form, drawing from her own experiences of travel and city/suburban life.
